Crysis and the PS3 Ripoff

A couple of days ago the official pricing for the PS3’s was announced to the public here in Panama. As one may have expected, greedy merchants here in Panama are taking advantage of the holiday season to overprice the already overpriced consoles. So, in order to get your hands on one of these you’ll have to be willing to pay $1,300 for the basic version. For the complete version you’d have to a cash out an extra 700 bucks for a whopping total of $2,000.
I really don’t know about you folks out there, but if I had $1200 to spare I would rather spend $600 plus shipping expenses for one of these beauties, and the rest would be spent in a mobo, cpu, memory and a flat screen monitor. That way I would have a REAL computer and would be able to play Crysis. Besides that, I’d have the ease of using the mouse + keyboard combo which is the best way to play a FPS, plus I can download music, edit sound and video, do my homework, chat with my friends and all those things the PS3, a computer not a console, mind you, can’t do.
So with this I leave you with the latest demo of Crysis running on a 8800GTX. Need I say more? Check out more Crysis goodness after the jump

The following are videos showing ingame footage. Sadly in these videos the game isn’t running with DX10. They are, nonetheless, very interesting, check them out:
